Artist's Comments Graphite NP Portrait and my favorite work to date: [link]Prismacolor Natalie Portman. I really liked the reference. Coincidentally today is her birthday. As well as Johnny Depp's and the amazing Matthew Bellamy's. This was fun to work on for the most part. This was my second colored pencil portrait. (First was Keira Knightley: [link]) And please pretend you see the subtle shading that the scanner took out, hehe. My problem with colored pencils (or rather one of my problems) is that I always want to achieve a "smooth" look as opposed to normal, light grainier shading. So I tend to go over everything with white. And thus fail. Oh well. |
