Disclaimer: Not really. There is so much else I want to do in my life, including educational and general life goals.

Anyway.
OTHERWISE, life is indeed complete.
Now prepare for this ridiculously long account of all the details I can remember. I'm doing this for my own sake more than to bore you, I promise.
Where do I begin?
I'll start logically - I SAW MUSE LIVE WHEN I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER GET TO! MUSE HAS BEEN MY LIFE FOR WAAAY TOO LONG NOW AND THE OBSESSION HAS BEEN CONSUMMATED.
Well, meeting them would be nice as well, hehe. I'VE FULFILLED THE DREAM OF SEEING THESE ARTISTIC GENIUSES IN PERSON.
Oh my gosh.
And U2 wasn't bad either.

They played for about 40 minutes - only 8 songs. Uprising, Map of the Problematique, Supermassive Black Hole, Hysteria, Unnatural Selection, Undisclosed Desires, Starlight and Time is Running Out. Very. Very. Short. It was sad when it was over. I got a few video clips of certain songs, but no good pictures. Unfortunately, the unbelievably long U2 concert really washed out my memory's details about Muse, which is unbelievably depressing to me. Was Matt's hair black or brown?

I NEED to know!
Though I wish I could have seen Matt play piano, I get that they needed to be high-energy the whole time. I will also add that the more mainstream ones like SBH and UD got the crowd most involved. The stadium was really empty during that time, though, but totally full when U2 began. The type of people that show up only for the headlining band . . . I just don't understand their reasoning. Unless traffic is ridiculous or some other circumstances prevent, why would someone miss getting the most out of a show that he paid for? Someone explain. I don't understand.
Speaking of which . . . to those of you who followed my ticket/money scam tribulations: It was worth the ridiculously large extra amount we paid. But those who paid the normal amount must have felt special.

Aargh.
So yeah, awesome intro (same as Wembley music), and the first moment of Uprising made my life. The filming was gorgeous. Awesome screen effects. Matt, Dom and Chris looked stunning.

Seriously. I would go on about that fact, but I'll spare you. And the lighting and everything was . . . AHHH. Beautiful.
We arrived in Raleigh at about 2:30. After hotel arrangements we went to the stadium - got there a little earlier than four. And then we waited in the scorching sun (object of my loathing) until a little before (or after) 6:00 p.m. when they let us in! It was hectic and exhausting. And U2 was totally doing a sound check from inside so we could hear them playing their songs for about an hour. I personally thought this was really bizarre. Because we were all waiting outside, and they were going through their set list inside. It seemed anti-climatic at the time, but NO. It most definitely wasn't.

I'll not ignore the brilliance of U2. They were beautiful. I'm not going into detail because everyone knows they're great.

Although, the "Goodnight everybody!" + encore got confusing after Bono did it about 5 times.

Amazing performers. And the stage setup was incredible - I'll probably upload some pictures and move them to scraps later. An enormous spaceship. U2 obviously got the most impressive lighting/stage effects and had the crowd standing the entire time. SO MUCH FUN TO WATCH!
In short, I got to see one band that is established as legendary and another that will most certainly be legendary in the future. And yes, both were brilliant. U2 obviously had the most excitement going because 1.) they were headlining and 2.) all the people had a slight idea who they were! There were a good number of Muse fans, I think. I personally saw about 10!

But everyone else was halfway getting into it. Nonetheless, the fandom shall spread enormously because of this.
It was wonderful seeing Muse live - in all their brilliance, away from that Twilight/New Moon nonsense and poser fans.

Hehe.
I'll go ahead and mention the disgusting fact that they ARE remixing I Belong to You in film-related way. Makes me sick. And this weekend was great when I look at strictly the concert. I'm truly not being negative, but a certain family member did her absolute best to try and kill me and my momentary joy with her nagging. And it hurts more than I can say. I feel like it's overcoming the positive just because I can't believe a human being who is SO close to me would be this intentionally evil. But alas. I really wanted to just LOVE this weekend. But she pretty much succeeded in bringing me down, as usual. I need to get away.
